Our dedicated Dublin-based Project Finance team focuses on the growing Irish Project Finance market. Our extensive Global Project Finance arranging and structuring experience, combined with the market leading presence of the Corporate Banking relationship teams, means our Project Finance team offers a unique combination of skills and expertise to the Irish Project Finance market.

Our experienced team appreciate the crucial role a lender plays in structuring debt solutions for large scale projects. We always look to play a proactive role, working closely with Project Sponsors and their Advisors, from as early as possible in the process.

Our Project Finance team arranges and underwrites debt facilities and participates in project finance transactions across the island of Ireland. The sectors covered by the team include Infrastructure, Energy, Waste and Renewables projects.

We have particular expertise in Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) and we are recognised as the leading domestic financial institution in the PPP market in Ireland. In recent years, Bank of Ireland has been the lead arranger on all major Irish infrastructure projects and we remain committed to supporting PPP transactions, in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Bank of Ireland are also a leading financier of Renewable Energy projects (recently ranked 6th in the world in this sector), including Wind Farm Projects and the provision of funding for appropriately structured projects in this growing sector remains a key focus for Bank of Ireland. In 2009, Bank of Ireland launched a €100m Renewable Energy Fund. This fund is designed to support the financing of Irish renewable energy projects and is specifically earmarked for expanding existing or developing new renewable projects.
