Teaching children how to save early in life is an excellent and important habit to form. They will quickly understand more about the value of money and learn how to save for things that matter to them - a new toy, CD or even the latest computer game. To help them do this, we have created the Young Savers Account and our handy online savings robot, which is fun and easy-to-use.

Young Savers - Key Account Features

Bank of Ireland's Young Savers Account is specially designed for children aged 7-12 years and lets you put in or take out your money as often as you want.

  • You can open an account with as little as €1
  • You can put in or take out money in any of our branches around the country
  • You'll receive interest on your savings four times a year and you'll also get a statement once a year which tells you exactly what's in your account
